We’re looking for dedicated, enthusiastic, and reliable Tour Managers to join our team and support student groups during their travel experiences.
Job Overview:
As a Tour Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of our student music group travel experiences. You will travel with the group, be available 24/7 during the trip, and act as the main point of contact for any travel-related questions or issues that arise. Your role will involve ensuring all activities, meals, and logistics go according to plan, as well as providing support to the group to guarantee a seamless and enjoyable experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel with the student music group, acting as their dedicated point of contact throughout the entire trip.
- Be available 24/7 to answer questions, solve problems, and address any concerns related to the trip.
- Ensure all scheduled activities (performances, sightseeing, rehearsals, etc.) run smoothly and according to plan.
- Coordinate and ensure that all meals are properly arranged, adhering to group preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Communicate with hotel staff, transportation providers, and local event coordinators to confirm logistics and address any issues that may arise.
- Assist with check-ins, room assignments, and general group coordination to ensure all students are accounted for and on schedule.
- Provide excellent customer service, fostering a positive and supportive environment for students, teachers, and chaperones.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all group members throughout the trip.
- Handle any last-minute changes or emergencies, working closely with the trip leader and the company’s operations team.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Background in music education is a plus, but not required. Experience in student group travel or education-related fields is highly valued.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations.
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and unexpected issues.
- Passion for working with students and helping them have a positive, memorable experience.
- Experience with event coordination or hospitality is a plus.
- Must be able to commit to the full duration of the trip (dates will vary depending on the travel schedule).
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor.
Compensation:
- Competitive pay, based on trip duration and responsibilities.
- Travel expenses (flights, lodging, meals) will be covered by the company.
